The Mountain West Conference announced on Monday the 2008 women’s soccer broadcast schedule that is comprised of six nationally televised games, including the semifinals and finals of the MWC Championship in Las Vegas.
The Mtn. – MountainWest Sports Network -- will broadcast six matches this fall, including three regular-season contests, including one Wyoming contest. All three broadcasts will be live, beginning with UNLV at San Diego State on Oct. 3 at 5 p.m.
The Wyoming at Utah game will be televised live on The Mtn. on Oct. 26 at 1 p.m., while the New Mexico at UNLV matchup on Oct. 31 will also be shown live at 4:30 p.m.
DIRECTV, the nation’s leading satellite television service provider, will launch The Mtn. on Aug. 27. The Mtn. will be available on channel 616 on DIRECTV CHOICE and above packages for the states servicing Mountain West Conference institutions (Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and the designated market areas of Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego). Customers throughout the remainder of the country will be able to access The Mtn. with a subscription to DIRECTV’s Sportspack.
The Mountain West anticipates additional broadcasts will be added to the schedule at a later date.
