In the newspaper business for about 40 years, Anderson retired last fall after nine-plus years with the Rapid City Journal. A native of Hot Springs, Anderson graduated from Black Hills State University in 1982 and worked for 27 years in Wyoming and three years in the state of Washington before settling back in the Black Hills. He now spends most of his time with a little freelancing, watching his dog Roxy chase and watch squirrels at the dog park and driving his Mustang in the beautiful Black Hills.
